Breeding strong Pals is an essential part of being a great Pal Tamer in the new game Palworld. Once your base is built and the basic survival accommodations are made, thinking about what will help you next can lead to breeding Pals. Tamers can breed for different elemental types, helpful traits, or even new Pals completely to discover different species. With a little care, cake, and connection, your Pals will be “popping out eggs” in no time.
To begin breeding Pals in Palworld get to level 19 and upgrade your Technology Points. Add the Technology points to the first slot, which is the Breeding Farm. You will need a lot of space for it, so make sure to make some room on your base. To build it requires 100 Wood, 20 Stone, and 50 Fiber. Once finished, find yourself a compatible male and female Pal to start the breeding process.
10 Best Beginners Tips & Tricks For Palworld
Starting out in Palworld can seem intimidating, but with a few tips and tricks, players will be off to the races to find all the new Pals.
Feeding Pals Cake Will Give You an Egg
Breeding in Palworld is simple, but requires a certain item to be fed to your Pals beforehand. This item is Cake and Pals will not breed on your Breeding Farm without it. Bake the cake in a Cooking Pot with 8 Red Berries, 5 Flour, 7 Milk, 2 Eggs, and 8 Honey. Place the cake in the Breeding Box and a progress bar with the words “Love is blossoming” starts the breeding process.
Food items in Palworld have an expiration period. This means that you cannot store these items for long without a Cooler Box. Cake, however, once made, has no expiration period while in the Breeding Box.
Pal Parents Create Stronger Pals
The breeding process in Palworld should be used often to create stronger Pals. Thankfully, the Pals have no time limit between breeding sessions, so players can continuously produce eggs. However, they will need a Palworld Egg Incubator to hatch the eggs within a certain amount of time.
The offspring of the two Pals chosen will typically have a stronger output of skills and maybe some impressive shooting skills as well. YouTuber TagBackTV gives a great example of this when breeding Robinquill for battle, wanting both a Lucky and Musclehead trait.
Breeding Pals Creates Variants
Crossbreeding Pals in Palworld will either give you variants of the same species or an entirely new Pal. This process is still being discovered, but for the most part, figured out by plenty of players. Examples of some fusions discovered are on a spreadsheet from Reddit by u/blahable showing over 18,797 combinations that have been found through research data. Some examples of these fusions are:
